On the 24th of October Cecilia Nihlén and Karmen Johansson, professors from the Faculty of Education at the University of Gothengurg (Sweden), visited our school. They were accompanied by Àngel Raluy from the Internationalisation Unit of the FETCH at the University of Vic.
They spent some time in one of the English classes in preschool (5 year-olds), one of the English lessons in 5th grade, and at one of the CLIL sessions in 2nd grade. It was a pleasure to have them among us.
Here you can see some pictures of the event.

Every two years IPA Productions, a theatre company, comes to school to perform three plays for the different three cycles of Primary.
First cycle (1st and 2nd Grades): Cinderella
Second cycle (3rd and 4th Grades): Snow White
Third cycle (5th and 6th Grades): Frankenstein
Here are some useful links that you can watch at home in order to prepare the comprehension of the stories but the version of IPA Productions is a bit adapted.
On Tuesday May 3rd we had the honour to recieve the visit of professor Valeria A’rva from the Faculty of Pre-school and Primary Teacher Training in ELTE University in Budapest. Valeria was interested in observing the kindergarten units in our school, and she also had a walk around the rest of the facilities.
Last Thursday 21st April, 6th grade students got a surprise: three foreing students coming from the USA (two of them) and Germany told us about their countries and families. We learned many interesting things about how they live for example now we know that some states in the United States are very big and quite deserted; that American girls like very much country music; that in some regions of Germany there are vineyards and they make wine… We also learned a lot of things about personal life of these girls: what do they eat; what sports do they like and practice; their families, pets, schools…
It was very interesting and we enjoyed it a lot!
Last month on English Speaking class in 6th Grade we made sandwiches. We had to act out a role-play with instructions to prepare a sandwich. So, in cooperative groups, we decided which ingredients we would need to prepare our sandwich. We brought them, we made our sandwich and we ate it.
